India Street is an exhibition/project curated by Katy West that has been on going since 2014 and I am delighted to have been one of seven designers invited to take part since it began.
The exhibition is now on tour and currently residing in Comar arts centre in Tobermory on Mull until Friday 7th July. I was thrilled to be invited to host a screen printing workshop as part of the events programme running alongside the exhibition's new outing.
India Street: Part 2 Building Blocks
March 30, 2015
There's not been much time to blog lately - apologies. However, we wanted to share a brief glimpse into one of the reasons we were so busy last month. We were one of four incredibly lucky designers from Scotland (the other three being Gabriella Marcella DITano, Charlotte Linton and Emlyn Firth) who were invited over to India by curators Katy West and Lokesh Ghai for the second part of a hugely inspirational project called India Street.
The makings of our sample for 'India Street Part 1: The Bombay Sample Book'

Curated by Katy West, 'India Street Part 1: The Bombay Sample Book' is an exhibition exploring new responses to the Turkey red archive of Scotland and indigenous textiles of India. I was invited alongside six other designers from Scotland and India to explore this archive and produce my own sample in response to this.
