Researching for the Seine Net Queens project with Panel

Panel is an independent curatorial practice led by Catriona Duffy and Lucy McEachan from Glasgow whose work I have admired for a long time. They create exciting, ambitious and diverse projects that promote design such as Scotland Can Make It! 2012 and The Inventors of Tradition (which are two of my favourites). So I am delighted to share that myself, artist Bernie Reid and fashion researcher Mairi MacKenzie are working with them on an exhibition this summer called Seine Net Queens for Timespan in Helmsdale.
National Trust for Scotland Collection with Craft Scotland

This exciting project began at the end of last year when Craft Scotland put a call out for any makers on their directory to come forward who were interested in creating a collection for the National Trust for Scotland. This sounded like an interesting proposal and a great way to start 2015, so I attended their first briefing day at the National Trust's headquarters in Edinburgh in January this year.

Small is beautiful was an amazing two day conference that was held in Glasgow on the 4th June and 5th June by Deborah Keogh and Roanne Dodds with the aim of providing 'insight, intelligence and ideas about how to thrive as a committed micro'.

Earlier this year we were approached by Lush to create an exclusive print design for the opening of their new Buchanan Street store. We were really excited and flattered to be given this opportunity, so working to the brief of the word 'fresh', we created the following design and screen printed a limited edition of 200 bags from our Glasgow studio.
